DIY X-Ceptic tincture or infusion

I avoid the use of chemicals at our farm.  I bet there are those of you that may be interested in what I use proactively for cuts, scrapes, and other wounds.  I use X-Ceptic formula. Below I will describe how I prepare the herbs for use with my animals.

This is what I use to make our Land of Havilah Udder Wash/Teat Dip recipe if my does have skin issues on their udder. Since we do not know the recipe, we use equal parts of each herb. Click here to read more about the X-Ceptic formula.  Click here to enter the DIY category on my store that helps you with the herbs required to make X-Ceptic mix, if you desire.

Ingredients:
White Oak bark
Goldenseal root
Garlic
Comfrey root
Myrrh gum
Cayenne (40,000 hu potency)
*Nettle leaf  – I like to add this one to the recipe for the UDDER WASH

Land of Havilah Udder Wash/Teat Dip Recipe

20 drops of Lavender essential oil
20 drops Eucalyptus essential oil
5 drops Tea Tree essential oil
l6 oz. Apple Cider Vinegar (raw and unfiltered)
16 oz. X-Ceptic Infusion (homemade, instructions below)

Put all into a 1 quart size heavy duty spray bottle.  Shake well before use.

X-Ceptic Infusion

2 TBSP X-Ceptic mix powder
16 oz of boiling water

Put the amount X-Ceptic herb mix specified root in canning jar.  Pour boiling water over it (like a tea), lid it and let it steep for at least 30 minutes).  Filter this through a piece of paper towel (since it is NOT being ingested, only sprayed on the udder) and then proceed to use the filtered infusion in the udder wash recipe given above.

I definitely want to avoid using chemicals on the umbilical cord of a newborn.  This is what I use instead of 7% Iodine, since iodine is damaging to tissue.

X-Ceptic Tincture Naval Dip

1/4 cup of X-Ceptic herb mix
3/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar (raw and unfiltered)
1/4 cup 100 proof Vodka (this extracts the resins in Myrrh.  You can try all ACV if you would like)

Put them together in a jar with a tight fitting lid and mix well.

Shake this tincture 2-3 times each day for 2 weeks.

After at least 2 weeks, filter your tincture through a thin cotton cloth. KEEP THE LIQUID and discard the herbs that you filtered out.

LABEL THE JAR with the contents and the date. Tada!! YOU MADE A HEALTHY, WHOLESOME, NOURISHING, VERY EFFECTIVE NAVAL DIP! YOU ROCK!!

NOTE:  This is available premade through our store, click here.  We are using a 1:4 ratio for this recipe, but Dr. Christopher’s premade X-Ceptic Extract is made 4:1 ratio, which means that they use 4 parts herb to 1 part menstruum (that is the liquid base).  This is VERY strong, which is fantastic!  They only use certified organic alcohol to avoid GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms).
