Description

RED ROAN, WHITE POLL, NOSE & EARS

Silhouette is a gorgeous doe that we are blessed to have in our herd. She is our first keeper doe out of Legacy and we are so impressed with her so far! She has gorgeous breed character, with a long, bell shaped ears and a lovely roman nose. She is balanced in her front legs and has a really nice rear leg angulation. I love the substance of bone that Legacy has added! I really like the blending she has from her neck into her withers and the strength and levelness in her back. She is milking extremely well and I’m looking forward to our linear appraisal!

In 2022, Silhouette scored Very Good in Head, Dairy Strength, and Body (capacity); and Good Plus in Shoulder Assembly, Front Legs, Rear Legs, Feet, Back, Rump, General Appearance, and Mammary. Her final score was 02-03 82 +VV+. LA: September 20, 2022.

In 2023, Silhouette scored Very Good in Back and Rump.

AGS Classification Scores

We also participate in the American Goat Society’s Classification program. In classification, an animal is given a final percentage score based on 100 being perfect. In addition, each area of the animal is evaluated and assigned points based on how close that part comes to being ideal. For example, if an animal is given four (4) points out of the allotted five (5) on teats, that is 80%, and the owner knows that the teats on that animal are only 80% of the ideal. The Classifier inputs the score of each area of the body into an app on their phone. After they finish, the program calculates the final score, which the Classifier tells you right away. AGS sends you the score breakdown via email within a day or two, but I had my score breakdown much faster than that. The following pdf is the score breakdown.

2023: 03-00 Very Good (VG) 85.5

Awards

Silhouette earned her *M in all three categories on our August 28, 2022 milk test, which earns her AR and provides all of her bucklings with his *B designation as long as his sire is a *B or +B.

Sire

Silhouette’s sire is *B Land of Havilah Zoe’s Legacy. He is out of our beloved Land of Havilah RCSG Zoe *M and our amazing buck +*B Land of Havilah ATL Triumph. Legacy has National Show Premier Sires on both sides of his pedigree, along with strong production! Zoe’s sire is *B BlissBerry Rock The Casbah (+*B SGCH Kastdemur’s Most Wanted (Ex90 VEE, Elite Sire) x SGCH Blissberry Rockin’ Robin 2*M (Top Ten Breed Leader)).

He passes on nice substance of bone to his kids, with the sharpness and angularity that we see in our Triumph daughters.

Dam

Silhouette’s dam is Land of Havilah MC Red Clover 3*M. Clover is such a lovely doe!  Her sire is our +B Ain-Ash-Shams G Misha who excels in Breed Character and has great substance of bone. Clover is excellent in rear legs, and very good in head, front legs, back, udder texture, general appearance, dairy strength, and mammary system. Silhouette is very similar to Clover, but with more substance of bone than Clover had at her age.
