Natural Raising

Sometimes it is helpful to know how other people handle things at their farm. This Natural Raising section tells you how we do things here. BUT, before I begin, I want to share with you a passage out of the Bible:

Proverbs 27:23-27 – “Be you diligent to know the state of your flocks, and look well to your herds. For riches are not for ever: and does the crown endure to every generation? The hay appears, and the tender grass shows itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered. The lambs are for your clothing, and the goats are the price of the field. And you shall have goats’ milk enough for your food, for the food of your household, and for the maintenance for your maidens.”

I’ve heard MANY people quote the END of this verse “And you shall have goats’ milk enough for your food, for the food of your household, and for the maintenance for your maidens.” They are missing the beginning of HOW you obtain these blessings!

Notice the KEY of this PASSAGE: “Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and look well to your herds”. Take proper care of your animals and they will be able provide the nourishment you desire for your family.

The verse goes on on HOW to care for them: “The hay appears, and the tender grass shows itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.”

It also issues a subtle warning if you neglect your responsibility of properly caring for these animals: “For riches are not for ever: and does the crown endure to every generation?”

The following section is how I look well and know the state of my herd.  I will teach you how I do these things. I have SEVERAL herbal recipes that I freely share with you in these pages. I plan to add more sections/pages as I have time and get them clear in my mind to put down in writing… I love sharing this information and hope that it will be a blessing to you, your family and your herd. 😀

Do I think I do everything perfectly and others should do things exactly like I do??  NO!  These things work well for me here, I share them with you so that you can use what you want and tweak things to work well in your situation.  Do what gives YOU peace in your heart, and what is right for YOUR farm!  Don’t allow anyone to make you feel badly because of how you choose to raise your herd.  😉  I don’t like it when people manipulate others in that manner.

SPECIFIC GUIDANCE.  I have written out clear instructions in the pages I’ve included in our Natural Raising section (that is this section).  If you would like guidance on implementing it in your herd management, I can ONLY provide my free guidance with the specific items you have purchased through our Land of Havilah Herbals store.  All other items will require the purchase of a Consultation.
