Description
Other Name(s): Herbal Eyebright Formula.
A synergistic blend of whole food herbs for the eyes. The eyes are probably the most important organ connected to the senses. We use our eyes everyday for literally every task our body performs. Some vitamins & nutrients that help prevent the eye from certain age-related issues are not found in many common foods. This is why taking supplements for eye health is important before our later years. Dr. Christopher’s Herbal Eye Formula Powder was designed to support optimal eye health.
Also available in Capsule & Extract form.
Proprietary Blend: Bayberry Bark, Eyebright Herb, Goldenseal Root, Red Raspberry Leaf & Cayenne Pepper.
No added Fillers or Chemicals.
Directions: Varies according to individual need. Bulk Formulas can be prepared for Extracts, Capsules, Decoctions, Balsams, Plasters, Fomentations & many other uses. We encourage you to research information on the formula & preparation that works best for you. While we cannot cover every herbal preparation below is a few common methods.
Encapsulating – To fill capsule, simply take the two halves of a capsule apart (one in each hand), and push these halves into powder and toward each other, pressing the halves together again & at the same time compressing the powder. Small encapsulation products that help to capsule 50 herbs at one time are available.
Infusion or Tea – Use 1 teaspoon of cut herb per cup of distilled water. Bring water to a boil, remove from the heat source, then add the applicable amount of herb to the water. Cover & allow to steep for at least 20 minutes (longer for stronger tea). Strain the herb & let stand until cool enough to drink.
Fomentation – Soak a piece of gauze, Turkish towel or similar porous material in the infusion or decoction needed. Sometimes hot Apple Cider Vinegar is used. Cool until the material is just bearable. Cover with plastic or oil cloth to prevent the liquid from soaking bed clothes, etc. Keep damp & change periodically. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
FAQ’S: What is the powder to water ratio with Dr. Christopher’s Herbal Eye Formula Powder? Make a tea by placing 1 teaspoon of herb in to a glass or ceramic mug. Add 1-1/4 cup of boiling water. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes. (Do not boil the herb and do not heat the water in aluminum or copper containers). Strain preparation through a sterile cloth, muslin cloth or several layers of cheesecloth or even a handkerchief will do. Let tea cool! (DO NOT USE UNTIL THE EYECUPS & EYEWASH SOLUTION HAVE RETURNED BACK TO ROOM TEMPERATURE. DO NOT USE IF EITHER EYE CUP GLASS CRACKED DURING THIS PROCESS). Pour some of the solution into the eye cup almost to the top of the eye cup. With contacts removed and once the eyecup and eyewash solution have cooled, tip head forward, put the eyecup with solution up to the eye and press it gently against the face with the eyecup surrounding the eye. Then tilt the head backwards, blinking the eye as though swimming underwater. Blink a few times. There will be a burning sensation (during and slightly after this process), which will turn the eye red when using the eyewash, THIS IS NORMAL! (the burning sensation will go away) Repeat the same process with the other eye, using the clean solution (do not use the same eyecup for the other eye). The best time to do this procedure is before retiring for bed.
