Description

TAN ROAN WITH WHITE SPLASHES

Evie is a lovely, sharp, angular, Elation daughter. We tragically lost her momma within a few days of her birth, so she was my bottle baby. I love the angulation to her rear legs. She is very nicely balanced in her front legs, and they are straight from both front and side profile. She has a lovely neck and I like how high headed she is. I suspect she will be a slow grower, as she is very dairy and reminds me of my Triumph kids – they are generally sharp, angular. Evie is linebred on Triumph and I’m looking forward to seeing her freshen in spring of 2022, he puts beautiful udders on his daughters, so a linebreeding on him will hopefully bring in that strength. Evie’s momma, Elation, was a cross of our two AI (Artificial Insemination) breedings: ++*B SGCH J&R Spirit’s HT-K Kaitai, and ++*B SGCH Wingwood Farm Finding Atlantis. Evie’s sire brings in additional strong animals, including ++*B SGCH Kastdemur’s Most Wanted (Ex90 VEE, Elite Sire), and SGCH Blissberry Rockin’ Robin 2*M ( multiple time Top Ten Breed Leader).

In 2022, Evie scored Very Good in Rear Legs, and Dairy Strength; and Good Plus in Shoulder Assembly, Front Legs, Rump, and General Appearance. Her final score was 82 +VGG, a nice score for a young doe. LA: September 20, 2022.

Awards

Evie earned her 1*M in butterfat on our August 28, 2022 milk test.

Sire

Evie’s sire is *B Land of Havilah Zoe’s Legacy. We retained Legacy as a Herd Sire in 2019. He is out of our beloved Land of Havilah RCSG Zoe *M and our amazing buck +*B Land of Havilah ATL Triumph. Legacy has National Show Premier Sires on both sides of his pedigree, along with strong production! Zoe’s sire is *B BlissBerry Rock The Casbah (+*B SGCH Kastdemur’s Most Wanted (Ex90 VEE, Elite Sire) x SGCH Blissberry Rockin’ Robin 2*M (Top Ten Breed Leader)).

He passes on nice substance of bone to his kids, with the sharpness and angularity that we see in our Triumph daughters.

Dam

Evie’s dam was our lovely Elation, affectionately known as “Winnie the Pooper” when she was a baby – cause every single time we brought her inside she would poop EVERYWHERE. When she was small we had her for sale, but I realized that I’d be a fool to part with her. Elation was our first Ecstatic daughter and we tragically lost her way too soon. Elation was a cross of our two AI (Artificial Insemination) breedings: ++*B SGCH J&R Spirit’s HT-K Kaitai, and ++*B SGCH Wingwood Farm Finding Atlantis. She had a very promising, gorgeous udder and was a dream to milk. She was quiet, patient, calm, and such an attentive momma. Her baby boy (Evie’s twin) suffered an awful head injury – I suspect he stuck his head through the fence as a goat on the other side was rubbing against it. He died and we also lost Elation to some moldy hay she got into all within a week, so we went through some hard losses in a very short amount of time. It was heart breaking. That is how we chose her name “Even If” after the song by MercyMe. That was when I became Evie’s adopted momma and she followed me everywhere. 🙂 Evie is built just like her momma and I’m hoping for the same lovely udder too.
